Committees
Committee Overview
Hello Lucid member!
This page contains all the Lucid committees, their members, and their functions. But first, what is a committee?
A committee is an exciting and educational opportunity for personal development. It's a collaborative group of enthusiastic individuals working together towards a specific activity or goal throughout the year. Whether it's organizing trips, workshops, festivals, or engaging in continuous work within promotional or social committees, you'll have a chance to bring amazing events to life!
It's a great way to immerse yourself in the association, forge new friendships, and expand your network. You'll get to know the inner workings of the organisation, all while having fun and developing essential skills. These skills are often less present in most courses, like: event planning, project management, communication, teamwork, and leadership.
So, if you're ready for an exciting adventure, join one of our committees. You'll be amazed at how much you can learn and grow while having an absolute blast!
Career committees
Within career committees, you will work on events for students to expand their network, meet new people, and make meaningful connections. While working on these events, it is also the perfect opportunity for you to do the same; connect with new people, companies, and have fun working together whilst developing your professional skills.
ID Connect
ID Connect organises the biggest networking event of the year! This is an event where students can experience the value of Industrial Design within companies. It's an evening filled with inspirational speakers from the design field, design case pitch battles, and a networking drink.
Within this committee, you will work together with companies, external locations, connect with alumni and people in the design industry. There is also room to work hard on the promotion of a big event or work on the coordination of everything.
ID Career
The main goal of IDcareer is to introduce Industrial Design students to companies and give them insight into the Industrial Design landscape. They bring them together through different and diverse activities.
These range from smaller one-day activities to larger design cases. Some examples are an Internship dinner or a Design showcase with the universities of Twente and Delft. Explore your creativity within this committee, there is a lot of space to organise unique events to connect students and companies!
PATH
PATH (Professional Ambition, Talent & Horizons) brings together IDefine and IDConnect to create the ultimate career-focused committee within Lucid. As part of PATH, you’ll organize two major events. One focused on exploring career paths (IDefine) and one connecting students with the professional world (IDConnect).
Within this committee, you’ll collaborate with companies, alumni, and designers, work on promotion and event coordination, and gain valuable professional experience. PATH is the place to grow, learn from experienced members, and help shape the bridge between students and the design industry.

They are exploration focused helping students discover their own professional identity and vision.
